Chamomile MK - in the process of creation

Chamomile MK - in the process of creation

Here is an example of a drawing for working from straws with daisies. Let's start making daisies.

We need white and yellow straws. We iron the straw, after soaking it in hot water.

Let's translate the chamomile for clarity on a separate sheet. Draw each petal with a pencil to the center of the flower. The petal must be full, even if it is hidden behind another petal. We set the direction of the straw. It should be from the center of the flower to the tip of the petal (and in other colors). Transfer to tracing paper and cut out with an allowance (along the dotted line).

Glue the straw in the direction. If one straw is not enough for the width of the petal, glue the second one next to it. You can roll it on the reverse side with an old round felt-tip pens, excess glue will come out, the petal will be more even. Cut along the line. So we do all the petals.

Here are our petals (the photo did not turn out very well)

You can cut out the petals by eye, after gluing a cloth of straw (the straw is not bleached, it is yellower on one edge). This is usually done with small flowers. I do chamomile this way, but I started with the first method.

Now we give the petals volume. To make the petal more curved, you can roll it with a soldering iron on the back of the petal.

Now we fold the edges. We put the rag on our hand, and press the petal with our thumb so that the place where we need to bend is free. Turning the petal, we bend either from all sides or only the top of the petal, as you like.

We tint the bottom of the petal. We drive the soldering iron in the direction of the straw until a shade is reached (the soldering iron should not burn too much)

The petals are ready.

We transfer the flower to tracing paper and glue the petals by the tip (I collected without drawing by eye, the shape is slightly different). Then we cut off the free tracing paper under the flower.

We do the middle. We cut a lot of straw crumbs. First, the mode along the straw, then across.

Cut out the middle from tracing paper, smear with glue and dip into crumbs. Then we smear again and dip a second time. We do this until the middle is voluminous. In the center we make it more convex. Let's dry.

Glue the center to the flower. If the middle is very convex, we glue it on a piece of paper twisted in the form of a cylinder (unfortunately there is no photo). Here are my daisies.

The leaves are made from two parts. The direction on the parts is at an angle of approximately 90 degrees. Then we bend the edges with a soldering iron and glue them on tracing paper, smearing only the inner edge.

Here is the result of the effort (for more details, see another entry). Orange flowers are made in the same way as daisies, only the middle is not bulky, but a simple detail with glued straws and outlined with a burner. The work was assembled with a glue gun. The background is a fabric stretched over thick cardboard.

Daisies and some orange flowers are glued to the background on such cardboard cylinders, which achieves a larger volume

Do-it-yourself corn dividing is easy and very fun to make. Therefore, every child will take up such work with pleasure. Together with him you can create wonderful corn crafts for the holiday. The photo given in our article will help you cope with this task.

What can be taken as the basis for crafts:

  • fresh corn cob, you can immediately clean it - separate the stigmas and peel;
  • a sprig of mountain ash or viburnum (with berries and leaves), you can also take cranberries or lingonberries;
  • a couple of dried physalis fruits;
  • dried flowers (dead wood);
  • fresh flowers with a flexible stem (for example, cornflowers, oaks, rudbeckia, yarrow or clover);
  • dark beads, buttons or berries (for example, chokeberry);
  • glue;
  • some thin wire or tailor's thread.

First of all, we will take all the corncob wrappers and join them together by folding the edges.

We wrap the core of the cob with bent wrappers, fix it with wire or thread. Get a fluffy skirt.

Mask the wire with flowers. We use white and blue flowers. We lay out the belt of the skirt in white.

We place the blue ones on top of it, forming the bodice of the dress. We distribute some blue flowers along the hem.

We decorate the hem with viburnum or cranberry berries. We glue them with polymer glue or sew with threads. It turns out a doll figure in a magnificent elegant dress.

From corn stigmas we make a magnificent hairstyle for the chrysalis.

We give the hairstyle a beautiful shape, throwing individual strands back or combing them forward in the form of bangs.

Now, from flowers with flexible stems, we begin to weave a wreath - just like we weave a wreath of dandelions in summer.

To make the wreath large enough, we take the flower with the longest and strongest stem as its basis.

We gradually weave different types of flowers and berries into the wreath. The more of them will be used, the more interesting it will turn out. You can complement the wreath with beautiful autumn leaves, beads, ribbons or paper figures.

From dark berries, beads or buttons we make eyes. And from physalis we make large beautiful earrings.

We decorate the head with a wreath. Cut out a smiling mouth from any red fruit, glue it.

Crafts from corn for home and comfort

I open my review with crafts that are made from corn leaves or stalks and which will be useful for housekeeping or decorating a home. The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, various water brooms and brushes made from corn stalks and leaves. Here is an example of large brooms for sweeping the floor:

And here is a small brush, also made from corn, which will be very useful for getting rid of crumbs on the kitchen table:

Brooms are made easily. It is enough to stretch the corn stalk so that it is stratified into strips, then collect everything in bundles, tie it up and fasten it to the handle. If necessary, you can also trim our corn broom evenly.

The next homemade thing made from corn is the original country-style candles. Although, it should be noted that this is still more of a decor item than household items.

You can also note here such a design creation, which will be a nice addition to the decor of your kitchen or dining room.

The next idea is slippers woven from corn leaves and stalks. And what, after all, it’s not bad to have an extra pair of slates, and even such unusual ones!

Corn smoking pipes

If you have read the book about the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, then you probably remember that the poor in America made smoking pipes from corn cobs. It's very simple, and most importantly cheap.

Of course, such homemade pipes were not very beautiful. However, in our time, such crafts are also being made. Only not because of the cheapness of course, but simply because the master likes it. Here, look at what masterpieces of corn can turn out:

Perhaps it is necessary to put an ellipsis on this and say goodbye to you. After all, these are far from all crafts made from corn, which would be worth writing about. Therefore, in the future we will definitely return to this topic!

Everyone loves corn. And this is not surprising! However, did you know that corn came to Russia from America. And if you think that in this article we will talk about the beneficial properties of corn, then you are mistaken. This publication will discuss corn leaves, from which you can make wonderful crafts. And these leaves are usually called - talash. From this material you can create original crafts.

Talash is an unnecessary material that is not used in any way in industry. But, for example, in African tribes this material is used to create any products. And girls in this area already from a very early age know how to weave original gizmos from corn leaves. In general, we invite you to learn about what crafts you can make from corn with your own hands. Therefore, prepare material in large quantities in the summer in order to create wonderful crafts. Remember that this material can be stored for a long time and does not deteriorate.

How to make a flower from dry talash

Crafts from corn leaves can be very diverse. And we will present the best ones for you in this publication. So, first of all, you must learn how to make a pretty flower out of this material. Such a craft can freely decorate a bouquet of fresh flowers or become a magnificent decor element for some things and objects. To create such a flower, you can use not only dry talash. It turns out that even fresh can come here.

To create a flower from talash, it is worth preparing:

  • scissors,
  • glue,
  • the leaves of corn.

Progress:

  • Using scissors, cut out about 20 petals with a sharp end from talash. You also need to cut out the backing. It is also worth leaving a strip of talash, which will be 5 cm wide.
  • Next, fold the strip and glue it to the center of the substrate. Then it is worth starting to fasten the petals in a circle. And first of all, glue small petals.
  • And this is already finished work. As you can see, such a flower is suitable for decorating a very ordinary box. It looks very nice.

  • Original handicraft from dry talash

    If you are a creative person, then you should find out what crafts you can make from corn leaves with your own hands. A little higher, we gave a very simple craft. But now it’s worth reporting on how to make an original craft. So, if you work a little, you can make an interesting craft that you can put in a decorative glass bottle.

    It is worth saying that dry corn leaves can be dyed with food coloring. And for this purpose, use a cotton pad or brushes. After staining, the leaves must dry. After that, it is worth cutting out 5 petals and 3 leaves from the painted talash. These details should be attached to the core, which was also twisted from talash. Then we fix the flower on the stem. At the bottom of the bottle it is worth laying dried flowers or beautiful stones. After that, we close the bottle with a cork and decorate with a leaf of corn.

    How to make a pupa from talash

    Here we list the most interesting corn crafts. You can look at the photo in order to create interesting gizmos.

    In this part of the article, we will tell you how to make a doll from dry talash. It is worth noting that such a craft is done in a matter of minutes. And in addition to corn leaves, you need to use to create crafts:

    • 3 cotton pads
    • toothpick,
    • scissors.

    Progress:

  • So, first of all, it is worth making the head of the pupa out of cotton pads. First, it is formed from disks, after which the head is wrapped in a corn leaf and fixed near the neck. The ends do not need to be trimmed.
  • After that, a toothpick is attached to the ends of the leaves, and its upper region is wrapped with a corn leaf. As a result, you have wide sleeves.
  • Next, tie strips of leaves to the belt. The skirt that turned out should be cut off the edges evenly. This is done so that the doll can stand well on the surface.
  • Now weave a braid for the doll from talash.
  • Finally, make a strip of talash that will cover all the threads.
  • A lot of different toys can be invented and made from peeled corn cobs.

    For example, ducklings, chickens, a cockerel, a hedgehog, a fox, a squirrel, a bunny and other interesting toys.

    It is better to take fresh cobs, they are easier to cut with a knife, pierce with an awl.

    You can even cut it with a small file.

    You should start with the simplest toys: chickens and ducklings.

    Cut circles from the corn on the cob, connect them in two.
    The beak and paws of ducklings are glued from pumpkin seeds, the beak of chickens is made from sunflower seeds, and the paws are made from two matches and a piece of peeled corn cob.

    For cockerels, ducks, chickens, dogs Cut out half circles as well.

On the cut, below the center, glue or pin a corn kernel with a hairpin - this is the nose. The eyes are small black beans from an acacia pod. On the mustache, hair and eyebrows, use corn stigmas, and on clothes - leaves.
